BECOME A PARTNER

CULTIVATING AND CELEBRATING YOUTH ENGAGEMENT
Outreach & Engagement Partners: Working Films, San Francisco Film Society

We at PatchWorks Films believe when the lights come up after a film screening there is a powerful moment to rally support, catalyze involvement, engage activism, and energize key audiences.  As HAVANA CURVEBALL launches, we are seeking partners to harness this opportunity.

To date, PatchWorks has partnered with a growing slate of like-minded organizations in co-presenting events that support and celebrate youth activism, including: the San Francisco Film Society, React to Film, Global Glimpse, Global Citizen Year, buildOn, Amigos, National Youth Leadership Conference, World Affairs Council, Students of the World, Community Grows, Full Circle Fund, Altruvistas, Tech4Cuba, and Working Films. We are actively building on successful pilot events and extending our network of participating organizations.

OUR GOAL

To support the work of a national network of nonprofit partners that share our vision of cultivating youth activism, service, and engagement and creating dialogue around U.S.-Cuba relations through strategic screenings and activities catalyzed by viewing HAVANA CURVEBALL.

WAYS TO COLLABORATE

Co-sponsor screenings at film festivals or as stand-alone events in key communities, and at conferences, and venues.

Create Wraparound Screenings with talk-backs or panels that feature local nonprofits and teens involved in service work.

Host a Youth Activism Showcase following a screening, giving local nonprofits working with youth, and teen activists themselves, a chance to share their efforts (For an example, see photos from the Showcase we piloted in San Francisco in December 2013)

Join our national advisory board to guide HAVANA CURVEBALL’s outreach and engagement efforts.

Other ideas? Let’s talk.
